Two lovely self catering apartments in the small village of Livaniana with stunning views over Lykos Bay and the Libyan sea.
The Manousoudakis family, who own and run the popular taverna Akrogiali on Lykos beach
have recently built two well equipped neighbouring self-catering apartments in the historic village of Livaniana
high above the bay with fantastic views.
They both sleep four (a double room and a twin room), have full kitchen facilities, washing machine and bathroom and a large south-east facing balcony/terrrace with fantastic views across the Libyan sea to Europe’s most southern landmass – the island of Gavdos.
This is in the centre of the beautiful walking landscape of south west Crete, with the E4 coastal path, the picturesque Marmara beach and taverna, the Aradena gorge, the picturesque sea side village of Loutro and other gorges on your doorstep.
There are also tavernas, including the owners’, Akrogiali, on the beach 20 minutes’ walk away. (30 minutes back up).
There is a supermarket, two bakers & several more tavernas in the nearby village on Anopoly, 15 minutes away by car.
To be aware, like the most beautiful and unspoilt parts of Crete – the road down to Livinania from Anopoly is a narrow mountain road, with hairpin bends and a short section, which is not asphalted. We would not recommend you driving it for the first time in the dark.
